NOTE: when Dremel introduces a new rotary tool model like the Dremel 4300 (introduced in December 2016) – it takes them some time to update compatibility descriptions with different attachments, accessories/bits, and parts.

In regards to the Dremel 4300 in particular, Dremel says "[The Dremel 4300 is] compatible with all Dremel rotary tool attachments and accessories (*some applications require the use of a collet system, included in kit)"

Also, it appears Dremel may have changed the thread size of the Dremel 200 recently (as of January 2017). This looks to have impacted it's compatibility with the Dremel Keyless Chuck.

If you are unsure before purchasing a Dremel extra, contact Dremel to confirm compatibility (they are usually great with customer support – so it should only take a quick email, or quick phone call).

Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless Chuck

The Keyless chuck is fairly simple – it is a quick change attachment that allows you to change bits without having to use a wrench to tighten or loosen the collet.

It also eliminates the need for you to change collet sizes for bits that have different shank sizes.

Dremel collet sizes range from 1/8, 3/32. 1/16, 1/32 inch for both the standard and EZ collet sizes (note: EZ change collets are NOT compatible with the 225 flex shaft attachment and the 575 right angle attachment).

The difference between the Keyless Chuck and the EZ Twist Cap, is that the EZ Twist Cap comes with an in-built wrench for tool free bit change, but you'll still need to change the collet.
