These are nice, medium sized lamp shades. They look very nice for the price. I ordered 2, and 1 arrived damaged with a large, rippled crease along the side. So, I 'm currently in the process of an exchange. Returning the shipment was easy and free, via USPS mail with a printable return label (we don't live anywhere near a Wal-mart). Hoping to receive the new shipment soon. I gave this all high review marks, except "durability". It may have been damaged at their warehouse or during shipment. But I have no doubt, it will last a long time in the home.

Beautiful shade-too small for my lamp

I saw these shades in the store and thought they were beautiful for the price. This was before I started shopping online for a lamp. I purchased the ceramic teal blue lamps from dxfairmall.com and they are BEAUTIFUL! The shade however, is too small and one arrived damaged. They shipped both large, heavy lamps in the same box as the shades. Didn't seem logical to me... I give these 4 stars because the shade is quite pretty, very simple design and neutral material. One less star because of damage which others noted here in prior reviews. They are slightly darker in color than you see online. Including a picture so you can compare the size.

Nice shade

bought two of these shades as replaements. They are very nice and adds texture to the overall scheme in my livingroom. Just one little thing--I thought I took good measurements of the dimensions of these shades, but I guess I didn't really understand what it would look like. When I put the shades up on the base, they looked smaller. i have gotten used to it now, and they look nice. I still like them and highly recommend them. Good price, too!

Good size

I wanted a medium beige shade for some lamps I have. I love the drum shade style. I ordered both the oatmeal color shade and also the linen color shade. Both were the same great drum shape that didn't require a harp underneath. However, I prefer the linen color shade. The oatmeal shade had a brown spec or texture in it that I didn't like. The linen color was more modern looking and all one color. The brown spec was hard to see online. Both were great quality.

Great value, nice textural shade

I liked that I could get a shade similar in style to linen shades on Pottery Barn for one third of the price! Quality is good, and I like the textural design elements it adds. The shade is sized as large, but the lamp base I got is bigger than expected so I could maybe use an extra large shade in this case. I would recommend measuring your space before purchasing.

1. its a light natural beige... and its flippin huge. maybe a foot at the top and 14" at the bottom - they dont make light bulbs that size :)

2. It's actually called a faux linen shade~ if that helps with color. Also, on the label, mine says "shimmering silver"... It's great looking, not shiny- cheap looking 10" across the top, height-9", bottom width is 13". Any regular screw in bulb would work. You have to put this type of shade on the base of the lamp FIRST, then put the bulb in. Guess it's a new thing- omitting the need for a harp. That's nice, but it also lowers the shade considerably than using a harp shade. Hope this helps;)

3. Color is like Oatmeal, nice elegant, modern. I used a 60 watt bulb, Bulb size (wattage) is determined by the lamp not shade. The shade fits on the lamps socket...its normal size bulb, not a novelty bulb

4. the shades are beige and have a nice texture to it. I have regular 40 watt bulbs, no problem!

1. This product measures 13" in diameter at the bottom and 11" in diameter at the top. It has a 9" height. It can be used for a floor lamp.
